15-Minute Char Siu Pork
Traditional char siu pork takes hours to make at home — ours takes 30 minutes with Bowlcut's Char Siu BBQ sauce 😉
The Recipe
Ingredients
Pork shoulder or butt
4 tbsp Bowlcut Char Siu BBQ
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp Chinese five spice
1 tsp white pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp ginger, minced
Manuka honey
Instructions
1. Mix marinade ingredients together into a smooth consistency.
2. Spread the marinade onto the pork shoulder (or pork butt). Refrigerate and let marinate over night.
3. The next day, bake the maranated pork shoulder in an air fryer at 400ºF, roughly 15 minutes total. Flip and baste with honey every 2–3 minutes.
4. Serve over rice and greens. Top with sesame seeds if desired.
