CHIVE DUMPLINGS

INGREDIENTS

  • - 1 bunch (~2 oz) Chives
  • - 1/2 lb Shrimp - no shell
  • - 1 tbs Oyster Sauce
  • - 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • - 1/2 tsp White pepper
  • - 1 tsp Bouillon paste
  • - 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • - 1/2 tsp Salt
  • - 1 Egg
  • - 1 Pack round dumpling skin

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Clean and trim the chives, then cut into 1/4" length. Clean and finely chop the shrimp, then place in a bowl.

  1. Mix all the ingredients. Add the oyster sauce, sesame oil, white pepper, bouillon paste, sugar, salt, and chives to the shrimp. Then, crack one egg to the shrimp bowl and mix thoroughly.

  1. Place a spoonful of the shrimp filling onto the center of a wrapper. Slightly moist the edge of the wrapper with water, fold in half, then pinch firmly to close — or use any folding methods of your choice.

  1. Boil: Placed a few dumplings at a time in a boiling pot. Boil for 3 minutes. Pan Fried: Boil dumplings for 2 minutes. In a separate large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium-high heat. Add the dumplings to the skillet when the oil starts to smoke. Cook until slightly brown or charred.
